The registration number and the sanctioned plans are shared with every buyer. Verify them yourself at rera.karnataka.gov.in before you pay anything — it takes two minutes and it is the single most useful check you can run.
What to look up
Project registration number, promoter name, sanctioned plan, approved area statement and the declared completion date.
What RERA protects
Carpet-area-based pricing, escrow of buyer funds, disclosure of approvals and a defined liability period for defects.
Ask for it in writing
A registration number quoted verbally is worth nothing. Get it on the allotment letter and match it against the portal.
